We are excited to confirm that construction work for the new sterile filling facility at Bio-Products Laboratory's (BPL's) site is now well under way. The expansion of their current filling capacity will include an extended, 1,000m2 suite, and will help support the increasing global need for our Plasma-Derived Medicinal Products (PDMPs), including new products currently in development at BPL.
 
Nick Parker, Programme Liaison for the project, said, “This is a really exciting program for BPL to expand our sterile facility and incorporate new technologies available, improving our ability to produce our existing products and allow for the development of new products. We’ve been working closely alongside our principal contractor BES since June, and excited for when it will be operational at the end of 2023.”
 
Engineering Director at BES, Paul Marsh, said, “We are delighted to support BPL’s expansion at their Elstree site. Fulfilling the role of principal contractor, we look forward to working together to deliver a new state-of-the-art Sterile Filling Suite.
