EXPANSION OF SHEQ TEAM AT BES
31/01/2023
We have created two new roles to further expand and strengthen the SHEQ (safety, health, environmental and quality) team.
Agata Kucharczyk has recently joined as Internal QA Auditor, ensuring procedures and records are maintained and followed. Agata’s knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 will strengthen our delivery across projects, ensuring we meet our ‘Right First Time’ objective.
Grant Ormrod is the new Safety Co-Ordinator. Previously working as BES’s Construction Supervisor, Grant transferred internally to develop his career in a new direction and strengthens the team by bringing his practical on-site experience and knowledge.
A Strong Team
Managing and supporting day to day is Michaela Radford recently promoted to SHEQ Manager, with 15 years’ experience in the sector, including 5 years, at BES. Overall, Operations Manager, Christian Godfrey, with 35 years’ experience, oversees both construction and SHEQ and is pleased to welcome the new members to the team to help deliver ambitious goals for 2023.
Christian commented:
“With more resource and enhanced skills on the team, we’re all excited about the progress we can make together, as the team beds in. It’s also good to see skills transferred from within the company as well as fresh ideas from new external team member."
SHEQ is integral to the way we operate and we have an ambitious year ahead, including greater emphasis on ensuring safety is thoroughly embedded into design from the outset. ESG (Environmental, social and governance) and CSR (corporate social responsibility) remain top of both ours and our clients’ agendas and we continue to seek innovative approaches to deliver on these. In addition, we’re working hard on developing our EMS (environmental management system), continuing to evidence our ISO standards criteria, and driving forward SHEQ overall by becoming even more visible on site.”
