Following the completion of the design phase, construction works on the syringe fill and assembly project for AstraZeneca have now begun in earnest. 

Fulfilling the role of Principal Contractor, our first activity is to construct a new extension to the building to house a number of new process control panels for the new filling line. The slab has now been poured and both the internal and external steelwork has been delivered ready for installation. 

Installation of the new internal steelwork is progressing well. Once the new external steelwork for the extension is in place, this will be clad to match the existing facility, and made weather tight. We will then shift our attention to the tech deck and plant deck areas and start on the installation of the mechanical and electrical services.
 
This highly technical and challenging project is due for completion in July 2022.
