As we embark on 2025, we are announcing the retirement of BES’s Founder and Executive Chairman, Steve Marsh.

Since establishing the business in 2002, Steve’s leadership has been pivotal in spearheading growth, while leaving an indelible mark on our culture and success. His dedication, strategic thinking and expertise laid the foundations for our evolution into a leading multidisciplinary design consultancy and specialist main contractor.

His commercial acumen, immense personal pride and meticulous attention to detail have cultivated the highest standards, often refined via his renowned ‘red pen’.

Steve is an inspirational leader, and his unwavering commitment to achieving excellence in all that we do has been instrumental in fostering a collaborative culture within our project teams, ensuring a positive experience for the Clients we have been privileged to work with.

Understanding that BES’s true strength lies in its people, Steve has inspired a new generation of leaders through his commitment to the continuous development of the team. Having started in the industry as a 16-year-old school leaver himself, he took great satisfaction from the development of our apprentices, watching their progress and growing impact on the business with great pride.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Steve for his exceptional contributions and congratulate him on his retirement following a remarkably successful career. We all wish him every success for the future.
