Engaged at a very early stage, we provided a full design service from concept through to detailed design and coordination for a new cGMP Grade D Pharmaceutical Production Facility for a Blue Chip Client.
Our multidisciplinary design team was tasked with reviewing the current operating procedures and provide an optimised design which would significantly improve people and material flows within the available space. The solution also had to provide better operator protection whilst manual methanol dispensing was carried out, as well as ensuring the following construction works could be executed within a very challenging programme.
We provided a fully integrated in house design service, including architectural, HVAC, process mechanical and electrical. Working closely with the end users, our experts were able to analyse current practices which led to an innovative cross flow LEV booth which provides a safer and ergonomically more effective environment for the operators. As a part of the design process a full scale Mock Up was constructed to test the new LEV scheme by way of smoke visualisation. Due to the plant space constraints, our design also considered installation of structural mezzanine platforms to support all the new HVAC, mechanical and electrical equipment.
