The world leader in the treatment of opioid addiction, Indivior, appointed BES to carry a complete design service for the highly prestigious facility - the European Centre of Excellence in the field of addiction treatment development.
Operating within tight budget and time constraints, our multidiscipline design team were tasked with developing an optimum layout including cGMP ISO 7 & 8 cleanrooms, research laboratories, offices, storage and a Home Office approved controlled drugs store. Our final design solution had to be cost effective, environmentally responsible and also suit Indivior’s core business requirements.
Our team worked through an initial concept optioneering process including provision of estimate information at each stage to control budget. We then worked collaboratively with the client in user group design workshops to develop the scheme and fix the layout sufficiently to allow the footprint to be established. This released the critical civil/structural design, whilst internal layout details were developed further. All members of the in house design team utilised 3D Revit software to provide the client with fully rendered images and visualisation.
